Egg / Embryo Donor Program
Donor egg and embryo pathways are considered when using a patient’s own eggs or embryos may not be suitable. The embryo can be created using an egg from the intended parent or an egg donor, fertilised by sperm from a male partner or a sperm donor.
Sperm Donor Program
Donor sperm may be recommended after clinical assessment and counselling. Donated sperm usually has to be quarantined for three or six months and screened for infections before it can be used by a recipient.
Surrogacy
A gestational carrier (GC) or surrogate is a healthy woman who agrees to carry a baby through a pregnancy for an individual or couple.
